Kitchen cabinet painting
A kitchen painting brief needs to cover the whole fitted arrangement, from door fronts to the panels that remain in place.
Establish whether painting is suitable
Share the age and material of the kitchen if known, plus photographs of worn edges and damaged areas. Existing finishes need to be assessed before a coating is proposed.
Repainting and replacing joinery solve different problems. Door alignment, damaged surfaces and changes to the kitchen layout should be considered separately.
Define the kitchen scope
- Count doors and drawers and identify fixed end panels.
- State whether plinths, cornices and cabinet interiors are included.
- Discuss handles and hinges before preparation starts.
- Confirm which work would happen in place and which parts may be removed.
Agree samples and practical arrangements
A sample helps establish the appearance of a brush or spray finish in your chosen colour. It also makes the intended sheen and texture easier to discuss.
Access to appliances, ventilation, protection and time before normal use all belong in the programme. The quotation is specific to the kitchen and the agreed method.
Plan normal use afterwards
Follow the selected product’s guidance on drying, curing and cleaning. Ask when doors and drawers can be handled and what care information should be retained.
Discuss the work in your area
Tell us the full postcode, property type and surfaces involved. The scope and arrangements are confirmed for your enquiry.
Your next step
Tell us what needs decorating.
Share the rooms, surface condition and full postcode. Photographs and a short description help us understand the work before discussing a quotation.
